Martin Reck is “Highly Cited Researcher” – again

Martin Reck (LungenClinic Grosshansdorf) belongs to the researchers in the field of clinical medicine who accumulated the most scientific citations. He appears for another time on the list recently published by Clarivate Analytics.

“Highly Cited Researchers 2021” are scientists who belong to the top 1% in their field with respect to citations in the years 2010 – 2020. The number of citations of a scientific paper or a researcher is often considered as a measure for the relevance of the work. The list for 2021 covers about 6.000 persons.

Martin Reck is key player in clinical studies. Reck authored two seminal publications on immunotherapy trials in lung cancer with the antibodies nivolumab and pembrolizumab. Both papers appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine. The study on pembrolizumab has been cited more than 3.500 times since publication in 2016.
