Matthias Kopp elected President of GPP

Prof. Matthias Kopp is new President of the Society of Pediatric Pneumology (GPP). He was elected at the 40^th Annual Congress of the GPP in Vienna. Kopp succeeds Prof. Antje Schuster who had been President for three years. As Prof. Klaus F. Rabe became President of the German Respiratory Society (DGP) in March 2018 (see news article here), both respiratory societies are led by ARCN physicians.

Matthias Kopp is professor for pediatrics at University Lübeck and Director of the Section of Pediatric Pneumology and Allergology at the University Clinic Schleswig-Holstein (Campus Lübeck). His work in the DZL is focused on the pediatric arm of the ALLIANCE asthma cohort as well as the Disease Area Cystic Fibrosis.
