Two ARCN scientists highly cited in 2020
For the first time, Martin Reck (LungenClinic Grosshansdorf) belongs to the researchers in the field of clinical medicine who accumulated the most scientific citations. Stefan Schreiber (University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein, Kiel Campus) appears for another time on the list recently published by Clarivate Analytics.
“Highly Cited Researchers 2020” are scientists who belong to the top 1% in their field with respect to citations in the years 2009 – 2019. The number of citations of a scientific paper or a researcher is often considered as a measure for the relevance of the work. The list for 2020 covers about 6.000 persons.
Martin Reck and Stefan Schreiber are key players in clinical studies. Reck authored two seminal publications on immunotherapy trials in lung cancer with the antibodies nivolumab and pembrolizumab. Both papers appeared in the New England Journal of Medicine. Each of them has been cited more than 3.500 times since publication in 2015 or 2016, respectively.
