Schleswig-Holstein Ministers for Science and Health congratulate

The government of Schleswig-Holstein is aware of the importance of the DZL for the research in the state and congratulates the scientists of the ARCN on the successful evaluation. This is the key point in a press release of the LungenClinic Grosshansdorf.

The evaluation of the DZL, which was successfully completed last December, lays the foundation for the upcoming fourth funding period, which runs from 2024-27. ARCN is assured of support from the state of Schleswig-Holstein, which will contribute 10% of the funding.

Research and Science Minister Karin Prien sends compliments for the work of the researchers at the ARCN: “Under the leadership of Professor Rabe, doctors here are not only providing cutting-edge research in a very important field and thus helping sick people, they are also helping to strengthen Schleswig-Holstein as a location for science and research!”

Health Minister Prof. Kerstin von der Decken emphasizes in particular the translational aspect of DZL research: “My explicit thanks go to all those involved for their great commitment in the interest of patients!”

The ARCN with its partner institutions Research Center Borstel, LungenClinic Grosshansdorf, Christian-Albrechts-University Kiel, University of Lübeck, Pneumological Research Institute and University Hospital Schleswig-Holstein regards this as an incentive to focus even more on the DZL’s guiding principle – the rapid translation of laboratory results into new diagnostic and therapeutic methods.
